In advance of the elections being held across Great Britain on Thursday 7 May 2026, the pre-election period began in Scotland on Thursday 26 March 2026, in Wales on Wednesday 8 April, and in England on Thursday 16 April.
During this period, in accordance with the Election guidance for civil servants, we will be adding limited content to our website. Pre-announced Official Statistics and planned reports are not affected.
