Aberdeen office
5th September 2017
Thérèse Coffey MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the
Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, met staff at JNCC’s
Aberdeen office yesterday. The Minister visited scientists
based at Inverdee House, Torry, to learn more about their work
advising government on marine nature conservation. The visit
focussed on JNCC’s UK and international marine work, including
seabird science and international fisheries. The Minister spent
time chatting to staff during a series of deskside presentations
and got a chance to ask questions and gain further insight into
JNCC’s work.
Marcus Yeo, JNCC CEO “It was great for our
scientists to be able to chat to the Minister and give her an
insight into the work we do across the UK and internationally.”
