Professor Gilligan said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to Chair the Joint Nature Conservation Committee for a further three years. The last three years have seen challenging times and much to be proud of in the continued success of JNCC’s role as an impartial scientific authority on UK and international nature conservation. I look forward to working closely with the Joint Committee, our staff, our sponsors across the four UK administrations and our many partners to implement the strategy for JNCC in shaping our future work and delivery of high quality evidence.”
