Q) What is your role at JNCC?
I’m an admin officer and I also work for the Directors’ Office.
From organising Committee meetings to solving office facility
problems, I’m your woman!
Q) Your dreams and ambitions - complete the sentence "One day,
Learn to drive before my 60th birthday and go on a world cruise.
I attempted the driving 30 years ago, had a wobble and now I’m
trying again. You’re never too old to learn.
Q) What advice would you give to your younger self?
Watch your finances and what you eat. Learning to budget should
be taught in schools as it’s essential for later life. Learning
about healthy eating is essential as health issues can creep up on
you and prevention is better that having to diet!
Q) What challenges do you encounter maintaining a work/life
It’s sometimes hard to switch-off after a busy day. Walking my
dogs every evening helps me to unwind and I enjoy
card-making. Most evenings I’ve nodded off on the sofa by
9.30pm. A real party girl!
Q) Which positive female role models do you admire?
Angelina Jolie’s humanitarian work is inspiring. She’s a working
mother tackling some important issues in some of the most
dangerous parts of the world.
Q) What’s your greatest achievement?
My children. I have three happy and healthy sons, and my four
grandchildren bring a special joy to my life. Especially as I can
hand them back!
