2015 OT Student Conference

Our Islands, Our future, Sustainable development

Where: University College London

When: Sunday 29th November 2015

Time: 10:00 – 17:00

Welcome

The Overseas Territories Student conference is the first of its kind. It is aimed at building links among Overseas Territories students currently based in the UK. Students will attend from all disciplines e.g. environmental and biological sciences, engineering, law, humanities and arts.

The conference will evaluate issues surrounding sustainable development, helping students to gain experiences, learn new ideas and make contacts that will be valuable for their future career.

“The 2009 OT student workshop was an amazing opportunity to connect with students from other OTs who were passionate about environmental issues in their Territory. It provided a valuable insight into the similar experiences and challenges shared by the Territories and provided the foundations for a network of cross-Territory  support in the future.”     Shayla Ellick, MSc. Environmental Management Division, St Helena
