Launch of JNCC's Triennial Review

Environment Minister Richard Benyon has announced the start of JNCC's Triennial Review. This follows a period of discussion with JNCC and informal engagement with stakeholders, which started in December 2012. Preliminary conclusions will be available in early summer 2013. Because JNCC is a UK body the Review will be taken forward as a joint review with the devolved administrations.

JNCC welcomes the Triennial Review as an opportunity to provide a more effective and efficient service to the UK Government and devolved administrations and help them meet their nature conservation priorities (within the context of wider environmental, social and economic aims).

Anyone with an interest in the JNCC is invited to respond to Defra and the devolved administrations’ Discussion Document by 11 April 2013.
