Dr Susan Walker OBE has worked in environmental and natural resources management for over 30 years. She was awarded an OBE in 1997 for services to water management in NW England. Over the last 15 years she has had a number of non executive roles in the environment and rural sector in Scotland including as Board Member of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, the Cairngorms National Park Authority and the Deer Commission for Scotland. Sue has advised on the future direction of research in the sector in Scotland and was until recently Chair of the Board of CAMERAS (Co-ordinated Agenda for Marine, Environment and Rural Affairs Science). She is currently a Board Member of Scottish Natural Heritage and a member of the Customer Forum which negotiates with Scottish Water on behalf of customers regarding future spending plans. Sue lives on Deeside and is a keen skier and hill walker. Sue has skills and knowledge of governance, strategy and communications including stakeholder engagement and also has strengths in environmental science and wildlife management.
