Working in Europe
Sharing and accessing information, gaining consensus and forming
joined-up approaches across Europe are essential to positive nature
conservation outcomes. We work closely with organisations, groups
and networks at UK and EU levels, including:
- European Topic
Centre on Biological Diversity (ETC/BD): ETC/BD is an
international consortium working with the European Environment
Agency under a framework partnership agreement. It works with
Member States to provide support to the Habitats and Birds
Directives, to develop biodiversity-related indicators and to
provide information that supports environmental and sustainable
development policies in Europe.
- European Environment Agency
(EEA): The EEA is an EU Agency that aims to produce European,
pan-European and regional integrated environmental data and
indicator sets, assessments and thematic analyses as a sound basis
for decision-making in the EU and Member States. We work with the
EEA as the UK Reference Centre for both biodiversity and
agriculture.
