There are a number of written guides and
tutorials covering a range of specific areas of functionality
within Recorder as well as the Getting Started Guide on the
installation CD. These guides and tutorials are all available in
the R2002
documents section of this website. In addition, the approved
Recorder experts offer a range of training courses tailored to
meet individual requirements, skill levels and budgets. These
include basic training for new users (usually taught over two days)
and advanced training which both cost from £34 to £150
+VAT per person, per day (prices are based on a group of 10
sharing) as well as bespoke courses.
For new users I offer a standard 2-day on-site
training course. For users with some experience of Recorder
2002 or Recorder 6 I offer on-site training courses
covering topics of specific interest to them. These are usually 1,
1.5 or 2 days long. Rates for training are £340 per day plus
expenses for training 3 to 10 people, discounted to £272 per day
for training 1 or 2 people. I am not VAT registered so VAT is not
payable.

users is:

We do not run formal training courses, but are able to offer
customised on site training courses for a few individuals.
These courses would cover the customers specified needs rather than
the general working of Recorder. The rate for the courses is
£250.00 per day (6 hours) plus travelling and accommodation
expenses as agreed. Typically we would expect an initial course to
take two days.
We can offer customised training in :-
1. Setting up the system and general use.
2. XML reports. This would normally cover some
general training on the use of XML reports, plus the production of
a few reports specifically designed to meet the users needs.
3. XML Batch Updates. The course would be designed
to meet the customers requirements and would typically
involve the production of batch updates to meet some specific
needs. For example a system for validating records.
4. MSAccess . The course would cover the use of MSAcess for
reporting on Recorder 6.
We have a bespoke training suite in our offices
in Talgarth in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales and offer
two day courses in Recorder at a price of £130 per day per
person.
I offer a one day basic training course based at Glasgow
University for £45 per person. These take place several times a
year as and when I become aware of sufficient demand. I can also
offer a more advanced course on the same terms; content of the
course can be tailored to requirements. I'm also willing to do
on-site training at £300 per day plus travel and subsistence.
