XML Reports
Xml reports are text files which are usually run from the
Reports folder within the
User Files
folder in your
Recorder 6 system. A large number of
these reports are supplied with Recorder 6 but can also be
downloaded from the
system supplied xml reports section. If you
discover that a report that you require does not already exist, due
to the accessible data model it is possible, with the necessary
computing skills, to develop xml reports specific to your
purpose. There are a number of resources available to assist
with this (see the section resources for writing xml reports
section on this page).
You could then share your report with the Recorder community
by sending the file with a brief overview to the
. Note that the donating
organisation will be referred to in the download table.
These will be made available through the user
supplied xml reports section of this website.
System supplied xml reports
The current list of system supplied xml reports are available to
download, individually or as a single zipped file.
Resources for writing xml reports
There are a number of documents available to assist in
the development of xml reports:
The xml reports are run from the Reports Menu by clicking on
Run. The hierarchy of reports are held within the reports
themselves and this has been updated to be more intuitive in 6.14.
Note that the options available in the dialog box may include
addiitonal reports if you have saved reports produced by the report
wizard or added your own reports. To add a report to your system
for use in Recorder 6 simply download the file and save it in the
Reports folder of the User Files folder (usually C:\Program
Files\Recorder 6\User Files\Reports).
