The post holder will be expected to contribute to the oversight of the work on national and international reporting, development of conservation advice and UK conservation strategy where necessary.
The post will be part of the Ecosystems Analysis Team which brings together three elements: -Partnerships with bodies undertaking species surveillance. -Analysis and modelling -Earth observation data processing and analytical capability.
JNCC’s Marine Management Team provides evidence-based advice on the environmental impacts of activities taking place in the offshore marine environment (beyond 12 nautical miles from the coast) to appropriate authorities responsible for their regulation.
Environmental Data Specialist - The post holder will work across an interesting range of projects and will lead on the management of the UK Protected Areas database. Marine Data Specialist - The post holder will improve data access and delivery.
