Access to UK site boundary data via international portals.
The European Commission have launched a
tool to view and download data for Natura 2000 site
information.
This includes boundary data for the UK. If you intend to
download and use the UK data you must agree to the attached
terms and conditions in the
End User
Licence. (Note: this document is also included in the zip file
of the European Boundary data)
These terms and conditions are necessary because the UK
boundary data has been partially derived from Ordnance Survey
Products. Ordnance Survey is the National Mapping Agency for
Great Britain.
The UK places certain restrictions on the use of such data as
explained in the document. You should first check that
your purpose for using the UK boundary is covered by the end user
purposes listed in the Schedule 2b of the document (page
6) .
Please note that these restrictions only apply to the
digitised boundary data (published at 1:100,000 scale) and not the
database version of the Standard Data form information.
If you intend to use the UK component of the Natura 2000
boundary dataset for commercial purposes (as
defined in the end user licence) you must discuss your
intended use and purpose with Ordnance Survey (see contact
details below).
