This report reviews existing legislation, biosecurity practices
and risk to Ascension Island and to make pragmatic recommendations
on a way forward that will form a sustainable biosecurity system
that is commensurate with risk and on Island capability. The

Islands ‘Framing the process’ Workshop report
This workshop report presents the summary of workshop sessions
and the main recommendations to inform the next phase of Marine
Spatial Planning implementation in the Falkland Islands. The
report was prepared as part of the Darwin Plus project DPLUS027

August 2014: South Atlantic OT Regional technical
workshop Report.
In June 2014 JNCC collaborated with the Ascension Island
Government to run a regional workshop. The workshop brought
together international and regional technical experts to look at 4
work areas: Marine Protected Areas, Sustainable Fisheries, Seabird
Monitoring and Biodiversity/Environmental Action Planning. The

In March 2013, JNCC co-ordinated a workshop to review progress
on the implementation of hte UK Overseas Territories biodiversity
strategy. Prior to the workshop, a preliminary
review was carried out by JNCC and UKOTA to provide
background for the workshop discussion.

Climate Change
These documents form part of a series on climate change in the
UK OVerseas Territories prepared by the Caribbean Natural Resources
Institute for the Joint Nature Conservation Committee. They have
been funded by the Overseas Territories Environment Programme
(OTEP) with assistance from the Commonwealth Foundation.

The
Amphibians and Reptiles of the UK Overseas Territories, Crown
Dependencies and Soverign Base Areas. JNCC made a contribution to
funding this publication by the Arc Trust.
