JNCC has reviewed UK Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into selected countries with the objective of linking monetary flows to potential ecosystem impacts.
UK government data was used to map FDI trends through time in respect of geographical and business sector distribution of investments. Key business sectors have been identified and work is in progress to highlight environmental impacts of these sectors in terms of sustainability, ecosystem services and biodiversity.
